All the people.

I had half an hour to kill at Victoria Station on a Saturday afternoon.
I saw the most beautiful Japanese girl in the most beautiful Barbour jacket, a man who constantly kissed his girlfriends forehead while she sulked, a teenage couple on their first date and a gorgeous man in a flatcap who was in a rush for a tube ticket but would only ask us blondes...
I wish I could remember more.

Recent work.

A few bad pictures of some recent work. Enjoy.

Brighton rocks...

Loves being at Brighton University for things like this:

Concorde 2 with Beat Redemption & Horse Power- a club night where Brighton art students can exhibit their work for free... some very interesting illustrative work has been submitted already.
Just need to make some interesting work myself for this! Better get thinking!

Taxi Driver.

I am back in Wolves for a few days.

My taxi driver said he'd been to Brighton a few weeks ago for a holiday. He said liked it there, apart from 'all the gays'.

Only child syndrome.

Me and my tutor had a conversation about being only children and whether it has had an impact on our social behaviour. I wouldn't say either of us are anti-social, infact people often say they would have thought I'd have siblings, yet we both often have introverted tendencies. I am often perfectly happy to stay in with me myself and I. He would refuse a day out with friends on a Sunday to read a book. It was reassuring I am not the only child in the only child sense.

It made me realise the source of my work is often introverted. Boring, lonely, classic found photos. Familiar of a period but uninteresting.

I like this. And I'd like to work under a theme... An introverted theme seems to be a way forward for now. Attractive but ambiguous.

Knitted bling.

Last thing for today, you know there's hope yet when a 15 year old chav takes out her knitting on the bus.

I like a little bit of this...

I have hit a creative block this week, although I did make some very nice sillouette work of buildings, they are too 'nice' and obvious.

In the meantime, I like this:
Figure and Prefigurations by Asier Mendizabal.

Now the snow has gone it's time to get back in the studio.
Here are some long overdue but very snowy pictures of my return to Brighton last week.
